"A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far, away..."

This is a picture from a rehearsal for Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. It originally had no light on the saber blades, as they in real life are just colored plastic. I used a 100% opaque white brush on the main blade layer, and under that I used a 50% opaque red and green brush under that on the coloring layer. I chose this because it's some of the more "realistic" edits I've done.

"Space... The FINAL frontier..."
The full size of this image is too large to post here, at over 3000 pixels wide. This is what they call marquee art for a Star Trek themed arcade cabinet. MAME stands for what it will run, the Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. Again, a fairly simple edit. I cropped out the original images and arranged them. The font is called Federation Classic, and is the font the original Star Trek used for its logo. The crews of the Enterprise of The Original Series, and the Enterprise-D of The Next Generation, the best of the Star Trek series are on the marquee. The Enterpise is on the opposite corner than Captain James T. Kirk, Mr. Spock, and Dr. Leonard H. McCoy, and the Enterprise-D is opposite (left to right order) Lieutenant Worf, Ensign Wesley Crusher, Counselor Deanna Troi, Lieutenant Commander Data, Chief Engineer Geordi LaForge, Doctor Beverly Crusher, Captain Jean-Luc Picard, and Commander Riker. The arcade machine is the Star Trek arcade game released by Sega in the early 80's. I included this piece because I enjoyed designing it and it has some of my cleanest lifting work.

"And through a GRAVE misunderstanding, married the Corpse Bride instead!"

This was made from a photo of the Corpse Bride action figure I have. It was my original tracing. I was disappointed when it wasn't for a grade, so I put it here. I traced the main details with a thick brush, and smaller things that needed to be precise, like shading, folds, the exposed ribs, and tattered pieces of the dress, I used a smaller brush. It's Emily, the Corpse Bride, from Tim Burton's Corpse Bride.

"Who ya gonna' call?"
This was a fairly simple edit. The background is a slightly edited version of the cover from the Ghostbusters 2 soundtrack album. I added the third finger and roman numeral. I used crop and erase to lift the faces, and pasted them to the bodies. I also in the case of Tim Allen lightened the tone of the skin to match the lighting. The concept is lifted from an early proposed script for Ghostbusters 3, in which the main ghostbusters realize they're too old for this, and train replacements. Here is my dream cast for the replacements: (clockwise from left) Eddie Murphy, Amanda Bynes, Christopher Lloyd (yes, I know he's too old too, but I couldn't resist putting in the good Doc Brown) and Tim Allen.
I included this picture because I think it's one of my better works, and I just like the whole look of it.
